My car is 2012 Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI 115 hp. The story begun with the change of my camshaft belt, water pump, coolant, oil and filter etc. last week. When I took my car from the shop I noticed that the coolant looks light green. I know that the coolant should be red-pink therefore I asked the shop if they had put the correct coolant type and the Ford recommend disconnecting the oil return line, replacing it with a long tube, and then letting the engine idle for 60 seconds while collecting the oil in a container. You should get 0.3 litre or more of uninterrupted flow after running this test. I've seen Ford Formula F 5W30 recommended by some, but others says it's not a low SAPS oil so shouldn't be used with the Mk2.5 with the DPF, and it's a little harder to come by. The owner's manual I've got says I can use an alternative SAE 5W-30 oil providing it meets WSS-M2C913-B. Efficiency: engineers re-mapped the 1.6-litre Duratorq TDCi engine, equipped with a coated Diesel Particulate Filter (cDPF), and recalibrated the power steering system. The ECOnetic was the first Ford car to use low-friction transmission oil, which is now uniform on all 1.6-litre diesel European-produced Fords. mkelbie. Budding Enthusiast. 81. And in my opinion that mileage is fine if its been looked after, full service history is a must. UK/Ireland Location: Hertfordshire. Posted March 7, 2010. all the ford manuals, haynes and my personal experience and knowledge know for a fact the it takes 6 litres. should start engine. wait for oil light to go out. turn off engine. pull dipstick out and wipe clean. then dip the oil again and check. The 1.6 TDCI has a timing belt. On the 1.6 TDCI the timing belt needs to be changed every 125.000 Miles or 10 Years. Ford changed the timing belt replacement interval a few times on the 1.6 TDCI so to be 100% sure about your car you can fill in your VIN number on the Ford Etis website and look at the service schedule information.
